Warriors and Cavs Are On a Collision Course

Warriors and Cavs Could Be Set To Collide Again!

The Warriors and Cavs have been dominating teams this entire postseason. Neither team has played in a game 5 obviously meaning they have swept both opponents thus far. This is the 1st time in NBA history that two teams started the playoffs 8-0 or better.  So who has the easier path to the championship? Will we have a rematch in the NBA Finals? With teams being eliminated each week, it’s only a matter of time until we have our answers.

THE BEAST FROM THE EAST

The Cavs made quick work of the Pacers in round 1. Some of the games were close in this series. The Cavs even had to come back from a 25-point halftime deficit in game 3 to get the victory. They still pulled off the 4 game sweep and got a little rest before taking on the Raptors. The series with Toronto wasn’t much different. Maybe a little! The Cavs pulled off another 4 game sweep but this time it was in convincing fashion. Cleveland won by an average of 15 points per game. Lebron has been phenomenal this post season. Irving, Love, Korver, Frye and Thompson have been playing well. They have been making shots, pulling down boards and making that extra pass when there. I honestly don’t care who wins the Wizards/Celtics series. I think Cavs breeze through to the Finals. They win the East in 6!

THE BEST FROM THE WEST

The Golden State Warriors have been crazy good this season. This team is full of players that can shoot anywhere on the court. They have so many shooters that 1 or 2 players having an off night really won’t damper expectations. They dominated their first 8 games of the post season winning by an average of 16.5 points. FYI… They are playing playoff caliber teams at this point. Vegas still have them as a big betting favorite to win the title this year. I think their road to a rematch is tougher than the Cavs. They are currently waiting for the winner of the Rockers/Spurs matchup. These two teams have a little something for the Warriors. The Spurs have one of the best defenses in the NBA and can score with the best of them. The Rockets have that relentless offense that is constantly pushing the ball. Houston puts up points and can definitely score with the Warriors. At the end of the day, the Warriors are coming out of the west.

NBA FINALS

This will be the third year in a row that the Cavs play the Warriors for the NBA Championship. Each team has hoisted the title over the other so consider this the rubber match. I like how the Cavs added a lot of veterans to the team this year. Unfortunately, the Warriors added KD this offseason. This series will have fireworks. Scoring-o-plenty if you will. I’m sticking with the Vegas bookmakers and betting on the Warriors. I think that Lebron’s 3-point shooting will come back to earth leaving the Cavs a few points shy in most games. Warriors take it in 6. What do you think?
