This week’s Spotlight is on a young man from Louisiana, Chance Atkins, that not only possess the talent to shut down top high school wide receivers in the country, but also the book smarts to be accepted into numerous top universities.
Chance “Snatch” Atkins is a pure athlete that is always around the ball. His nickname says it all. Chance not only has a high football IQ but he also carries a 3.3 GPA and scored a 21 on the ACT. His intelligence inside the classroom is transferred to the football field and can be seen in his aptitude and awareness. He reads quarterbacks eyes and never overcommits.
Based purely on his academic successes, Chance has been accepted to universities such as LSU and Louisiana Tech, but has not been offered a scholarship to play football. Here are some of Chance’s personal attributes and some game highlights from high school.

Not only do I believe this kid has the talent to be a play maker on Saturdays, but don’t be surprised if you hear his name called on Sunday afternoons someday. Therefore, I chose Chance “Snatch” Atkins as this week’s Saturday Spotlight athlete.
If you are a high school senior athlete or just know one that you would like to see Spotlighted please email me at [email protected] or DM me on twitter @Paul_ThePAS and let me know why you should be chosen.
Every Saturday I will spotlight another breakout athlete that may not be getting the recognition they deserve.
