Sean McVay Named Head Coach of the Rams at Age 30 (Show Off)

Sean McVay has been named the head coach of the LA Rams at the ripe, old age of 30. After some extensive research (a tweet from Adam Schefter) it’s been brought to my attention that McVay is actually almost 31. Which, makes me feel slightly better about myself. I’m also 31, but unlike this try-hard, I’m obviously not an NFL coach. Although, I would like to point out that I have been the head coach of my Fantasy Football team for four years longer than Sean McVay.

Look at McVay out there, being named the head coach at 30, making all of us ’85 – early ’86 babies look band.

But, I digress.

This is actually a power move by the Rams (if it works out). McVay is a Quarterback guru and the Rams have a quarterback in Goff that needs development. McVay has made Kirk Cousins into something special (at least extremely serviceable option). On that front, great move by the Rams. If this works out, they look like geniuses. If it doesn’t… they just look like… The Rams. No harm. No foul. It’s not like they’re in the second largest media market now. No one will notice.

On the fantasy football side of things, I think that this move by the Rams should seriously bump Goff the QB rankings. Pre-season, he’s a probably still not a QB1, but he’s definitely a stash at QB2 late in your draft. But, I could see him having a big year. So, you could probably utilize him as trade bait a few weeks in.

P.S. How about Seasn McVay, just out there being 31 and making his parents proud of him with a lifetime achievement.

P.P.S. You think he makes his hometown’s “40 under 40 list” this year?
