Paul’s Weekend Warrior Playbook: Going Deep For Wide Receivers

Are you new to fantasy football? Did your son ask you to join his league because he was desperate? Does everyone in the league think that the week they play you will be their bye week? Great. I’m here to turn you into a fantasy football God and make your son wish that you had pulled out. Get ready, because you’re going to kick your son and all of his friend’s asses so bad this year, that he might actually move out of your basement.

Week 4 typically brings clarity to a lot of NFL teams and the same can be said for fantasy football owners. What type of team did you draft? Are the players you drafted getting as many touches and targets as you expected? If you drafted guys like AJ Green and Antonio Brown, you’re getting exactly what you expected. But, if you drafted guys like Dez Bryant, Keenan Allen or Brandon Marshall, you’re probably scrambling to pick up guys like Cole Beasley, Tyrell Williams and Quincy Enunwa.

“Wait, Who?” Exactly. That’s what a lot of fantasy football owners are asking themselves right now. As a matter of fact, Tyrell Williams is currently only owned in 66% of fantasy football leagues, the other two are available in over 60% of leagues!

Let me provide you with some clarity. All three of these, let’s call them “sleepers,” are averaging over 11.5 fantasy points per week. If you show me someone who drafted any of these guys before the start of this season; I will show you someone that I want in my league.

These guys were waiver pick ups at best, but are now quickly moving up the wide receiver rankings. Any one of these guys could be the pick up that wins you a fantasy football championship. So, if you are lucky enough to be in a league that still has any of these guys on the free agent market, do yourself a favor and pick them up today.

You’re welcome.
