Will Jay Cutler Become a Jet?

It’s unquestionable that Jay Cutler has a cannon for an arm. I believe he could be a top 10 QB if he had the right mindset. I stated this in a podcast earlier this year and had my balls busted the rest of the season after he went down with injury. With the right team, can Cutler be elite?

Jay Cutler, Matt Forte and Brandon Marshall can reunite and bring some experience to the Jets organization. These three had their best seasons when they played together in Chicago. Forte might be at the end of his career, but Bilal Powell looked like a mini Forte last season. I don’t think that Cutler is going to lead the Jets to a Super Bowl, but can definitely be a boost to that offense that ranked 26th in the league for total yards.

Why do I think Cutler will excel? Again, Cutler has an arm. Even if you hate him, you can’t question that. Cutler has made millions in the NFL and probably has no idea how to spend it all. So as Jay-Z and Jermaine Dupri said back in the late 90s, “money ain’t a thang!” So what would drive Cutler to come back? At this point in his career it’s all about proving his critiques wrong. Everyone has dogged Cutler throughout his career stating that he doesn’t seem to care.

In closing, playing with the Jets, more importantly past teammates, makes the most sense for Cutler. They will motivate him and he will motivate them. Cutler goes to the Jets. The Jets make playoffs. All Jet and Cutler critiques are silenced.
