Fantasy Baseball Update – July 5

Check out today’s fantasy baseball highlights and injury news on your favorite MLB players.

TOP STORY:  Benintendi and the Jets

Andrew Benintendi had a 4th of July to remember. The Boston Red Sox rookie outfielder went 5 for 5 with two home runs, a double, six RBIs and four runs scored on Independence Day.  After winning the game on Monday against the Rangers with a bloop single in the 11th innings, the rook followed up his clutch performance with one for the record books. Benintendi is the first Red Sox player to ever to have two games with five or more hits as a rookie.

The Red Sox go for the series sweep on Wednesday versus the Rangers in Texas. Benintendi, who hit his 11th and 12th home dingers Tuesday, now has 7 hits in his last 12 at bats.
