Connor McDavid is a $100 million man

Wow. Connor McDavid just got paaaaiiiiiiidddddddd. McDavid reached an agreement with the Edmonton Oilers that will grant him an eight-year, $100 million contract extension. Fun fact: Connor McDavid is 20 years old. That’s right, this kid can’t even legally have a beer in America and he’s sitting on a cool $100 million contract. Good for him.

NHL.com: “Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid signed an eight-year, $100 million contract extension on Wednesday.

The contract, which will start with the 2018-19 season, will have an average annual value of $12.5 million. It will be the highest salary cap charge in the NHL.

Chicago Blackhawks forwards Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews each have a contract with a $10.5 million average annual value, according to CapFriendly.com. Each had been the highest salary cap charge in the League.

Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price will have a salary cap charge of $10.5 million beginning in 2018-19, when McDavid’s new contract begins.

“I’m so excited to wear the Oilers jersey for the next nine years,” McDavid said Wednesday. “I’m in it for the long haul. I want to win here.”

Connor McDavid is 20 years old and set up to make $100 million.

When I was 20 years old, I probably made like $5,000 a year as a day camp counselor and thought I was a baller. Not a Big Baller. But, a baller, none the less.

A little rest and relaxation and then it’s back to work! ?
