Sixers trade for 1st pick (P.S. that means Fultz)

Wow. Did the Philadelphia 76ers finally, finally get it right? Are all the puzzle pieces falling into place? Did the long game finally pay off? It appears that the Sixers and the Celtics have agreed for a trade, in principle, that would give Philadelphia the #1 overall pick in the upcoming NBA draft. Wow. I need to say it again, wow.

Bold move by the Celtics giving away their first #1 draft position in modern history. But, I’m OK with it, because I’m a Sixers fan and it’s been a long road since the Allen Iverson days. I need this. Philadelphia needs this.

So, the Sixers starting lineup looks like this next year…

  • Point Guard: Ben Simmons
  • Shooting Guard: Markelle Fultz
  • Small Forward: Rob Covington
  • Power Forward: Dario Saric
  • Center: Joel Embidd

Jesus Christ… LeBron James might just find himself in Philadelphia after his next free agency. You’ll have the possibility of that Simmons, Fultz and Embidd combination for the next decade in the City of Brotherly Love.

Clap your hands everybody, for Philadelphia 76ers. Stomp your feet, everybody, for Philadelphia 76ers.
Here they come, Philadelphia! On the run, Stand up and cheer #1, Philadelphia!
Here they come, team of the year!
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Sixers!
