TOP STORY: Rays hit 5 homers in victory over A’s

If you had Steven Souza Jr., Mallex Smith, Logan Morrison, Tim Beckham or Corey Dickerson in your fantasy lineups last night, you fared well. The Tampa Bay Rays tied a season high with five team dingers last night in a 13-4 win over Oakland. The 13 runs was a season high for the Rays who won their third straight game.

  • Jacoby Ellsbury, OF, Yankees: Worked out at Triple-A positively. On 7-day DL with a concussion.
  • Yadier Molina, C, Cardinals: Out Friday with back stiffness.
  • Addison Russell, SS, Cubs: Was not seen Thursday or Friday at the ballpark. He is day-to-day.
  • James Shields, P, White Sox: Plans to make one more rehab start before being reactivated from DL.
  • Homer Bailey, P, Reds: Possibly activated off 60-day DL within the few weeks after great rehab start Friday.
  • Danny Salazar, P, Indians: Negative MRI after shoulder discomfort throwing in bullpen. 10-day DL.
  • Jonathan Villar, 2B, Brewers: Escorted off the field Friday with apparent back injury.
  • Joaquin Benoit, P, Phillies: Slated to make his return on Sunday from 10-day DL (knee).
  • Joe Panik, 2B, Giants: Will miss multiple games with thumb injury.
