Congratulations to the pride of Philadelphia, Matt Rambo, the 2017 Tewaaraton winner.. He just became the first player from Philadelphia to receive the Tewaaraton. What the hell is the Tewaaraton? Now, as a non-LAX bro, this took some Googling. But, you know the Heisman Trophy, right? The Tewaarton is the Lacrosse Heisman Trophy, basically.
Rambo also becomes the first player from the University of Maryland to win the Tewaarton. If you remember my former article, LAX info by a non-LAX bro, I stumbled upon Lacrosse on TV and actually enjoyed it. So, I’ve been following along. The National Championship tournament was very exciting (well, kind of exciting) stuff!
The 2017 Tewaarton came down to Matt Rambo, Connor Fields and Trevor Baptiste. At the end of the day, it appears that Rambo’s 86 goal season, oh and a little thing called the University of Maryland’s first Lacrosse National Championship since 1975, brought it home.
I on the other hand, would like to believe that he won it because porn star, Mia Khalifa has publicly expressed her desire to have sex with him. If you’re a committee member, this has to be the stat that pushes your vote to Rambo. That and the fact that his name is RAMBO. Come on!
