Ron Burgundy: ‘Stay Classy, Chicago Cubs’

Apparently San Diego, CA resident, Ron Burgundy, is a closet Chicago Cubs fan. The old school anchorman visited ESPN’s SportsCenter studio this week to shed light on what the Cubs’ players are wearing. Chicago has begun a six-game West Coast road trip and, in while out there, have decided to dress in disco-era garb.

Cubs manager, Joe Maddon, has a history of creating costume-themed road trips over the years. Flashy outfits, even pajamas, were worn by players and coaches in the past. This time…it’s Anchorman-themed.

Baseball needs some excitement brought back into it. I hope other teams catch on and come up with creative ways to bring life to the MLB. Even Ron Burgandy, himself, approves. Check out the clip here.
