Is this the final season for Dynamite Danny Seigle? A question that only people in the Philippines and Carbondale, PA care to learn the answer to. It looks like the Carbondale Area High School stand out and long time PBA all star may be calling it quits after a historic career.
Spin.ph: “AS TnT Katropa’s campaign in the PBA Philippine Cup came to an end Monday night, so did Danny Seigle’s stint with the with the telecommunication franchise.
The one-conference contract extension signed by the 40-year-old power forward with TNT will effectively end by the end of the all-Filipino conference, and it remains uncertain whether he will be back for another tour of duty with the Texters.
Seigle said he’ll be in the process of evaluating his options now that TNT has formally bowed out of the running for a finals berth following the team’s 96-83 loss to defending champion San Miguel in their sudden-death game in the best-of-seven semifinals at the Mall of Asia Arena.
“Right now, I’ll evaluate my situation and then make a decision,” said the nine-time All-Star and eight-time league champion.”
Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Kareem Abdul-Jabar, and Bob Cousy each have 6 NBA Championship Rings. Danny Seigle has 8 PBA Championship rings. Let’s not forget those 59 straight wins and 1993 state championship he brought home to Carbondale Area. “The dream came true!”
So, that begs to question…
Is Danny Seigle the Michael Jordan of the PBA or is Michael Jordan that Danny Seigle the NBA. I’m going to go with the ladder.
I’d like to point out that Danny’s shoe commercial is better than any that Jordan has ever done.
