It’s week 4 of fantasy football and you’re starting to panic. Maybe you started 0-3, or even 1-2, and now you’re trying to sell off assets like you’re preparing for a divorce. Before you part ways with the team you loved so much on draft day, let’s try a some counseling. In this article, we’ll examine your fantasy football running back situation, as there have been injuries galore at this position. Jamaal Charles is yet to step on the field during the 2016 season. Adrian Peterson and Ameer Abdullah are on the IR. Doug Martin, Jonathan Stewart, Arian Foster and Jeremy Langford all have injuries that will keep them out for multiple weeks.

What to do? What to do? If you’re holding LeGarrette Blount, I think it’s time to sell high. Tom Brady will be back next week and Blount’s work load is sure to be affected by his return. Rush attempts have accounted for 54% of the Patriots play calling so far this season and Blount has gotten 69% of those carries. In contrast, rush attempts have accounted for just 39% of the Patriots play calling over the past 3 years. I suggest you deal Blount while his stock is high. Try packaging him with a low-end WR to get a solid RB1 and WR2.

If a Blount trade isn’t an option, there are a couple potential adds that I like. For a “quick fix” you can target Dwayne Washington from the Lions. He is earning his coaches confidence and has the potential to fill Abdullah’s cleats. He is only owned in roughly 40% of leagues, so go get him while he’s still available. If you have bench space available, Jay Ajayi is your man! Adrian “I’m Made of Glass” Foster will likely be battling injuries all season, leaving the door open for someone else to take the reins in Miami. The Dolphins tested all of their options on Thursday and Ajayi took advantage of his opportunity. He is a running back that I can see putting up a solid 9 -12 points weekly by the end of the season. Ajayi is currently owned in roughly 30% of leagues.
